This durable, long-lasting mixer is made entirely of metal, including cast metal control knobs. It has 11 speeds: extra high, slow, and everything in between. It also features soft start. Its motor is located in its head, so there is no loss of power between the motor and the accessories. Its 67-point planetary motion with the bowl allows for fast, even mixing. With its 6.6L capacity, this bowl-lift mixer can handle very large quantities of food.

This KitchenAid Artisan 6.6L Bowl-Lift is an extremely powerful stand mixer. It combines our most powerful motor (6), a large capacity bowl and a professional design with bowl-lift, as well as our iconic design with classic lines.
It’s ready to knead the toughest dough, mix dense ingredients with ease, and handle large batches with ease. Built to tackle any challenge you throw at it, the 6.6L stainless steel bowl can mix up to 13 dozen cookies (2), 10 dozen cupcakes (4), or 14 pizzas (5) in one go. The quiet, high-efficiency motor provides the power to mix thick cake batters, whip large batches of cream, or knead the densest doughs.

How does it work? The lever gently lowers and raises the mixing bowl and it is held in place with 3 locking points for maximum stability. The ergonomic bowl handle makes it easy to position and lift, even when full.

The beater rotates at over 60 points of contact in the bowl, for optimal mixing of your ingredients.
This Artisan 5KSM70SHX model features an 11-speed control lever that lets you precisely control the speed variation. Our slowest speed, the incorporation speed (less than half the mixing speed), is designed for delicate tasks normally done by hand. The incorporation speed is gentle enough to protect delicate ingredients and keep air in the dough.
The lifting bowl also features soft start, a slow acceleration to minimize splashing through gradual acceleration up to the chosen speed.
